Mike Norton is an entrepreneurial US Navy veteran, author, physicist, and award-winning marketing strategist.
Mike started as a martial artist throughout early teen hood, becoming a New Jersey state champion in full-contact sparring while working as a professional chef.
Upon becoming 19 years old, he enlisted in the US Navy serving two deployments to the Middle East, both on land and at sea.
Throughout the process, he became a writer as a therapeutic means of self-reflectively overcoming psychological traumas.
After, he became a marketing strategist to learn how to turn his wide range of skills and experiences into family businesses.

Survival
Besides his military training, Mike spent four years in the Xi'an, Shaanxi mountain range of the Chinese wilderness. He also continually learned from veteran mentors throughout the years after.
Psychology
With a Bachelor's degree and two awards in Marketing, Mike is essentially an applied psychologist. Different than a clinical psychologist, Mike specializes in consumer psychology as necessary for marketing strategy.
Physics
Primarily autodidactic, Mike went from zero to being accepted by one of the top universities in the world for an honors degree in physics: The University of York. He develops technology in his spare time.

What is Mike Norton’s deep, hidden superpower?

You’d think that a person who has been through what Mike Norton has in life would become a serial killer, in prison, at best.
His father was a kingpin drug lord who was brutally murdered at gunpoint. His mother was a neglectful seductress who wanted more from life. And his step-father physically and mentally abused him in various ways: a religious, anti-white racist who hated Mike’s resemblance to his original father and interracial heritage.
Mike becomes a child who endures the stigma of homelessness, asthma, mutilation by flesh-eating bacteria, undetected tumors in his skull, and hospitalization for malnourishment. He also experiences draconian punishments, such as being locked in a closet until he loses his sense of time.
As a combination of all these factors combined, Mike develops narcissistic traits that hide his emotional vulnerabilities as he escapes into his imagination to shield himself from the harsh realities of his life.
Yet, somehow, he snaps out of it.

An Unexpected Figure In The Modern Norse Community
The Controversial Evolution Of Mike's Beliefs
Mike was born to a Christian family in 1988.
However, the religious practices of his family were questionable as he was neither baptized nor ever attended church given the exception of funerals.
Despite being rebellious in school due to the toxic influence of his chaotic origins, he retained an autodidactic personality manifesting at a young age, learning what he wanted to learn outside of the standard curriculum.
By the age of sixteen, he had already read a wide range of philosophical and religious texts from cover to cover, including ancient Chinese works like Sun Tzu's The Art of War to Plato's The Republic and more.
As he came of age, his beliefs evolved over time. He interpreted Christianity as discouraging him from full intellectual self-actualization leading him to temporarily become an atheist. Then, while coming to faith-based conclusions or assumptions at the far-end of advanced concepts of physics and mathematics, Mike became a Zen Buddhist while serving in the military.
Buddhism taught him to look within for answers and, as he looked within, he began questioning the nature and origin of his own thoughts—he became fascinated with Jungian psychology as a lens through which he could decipher which thoughts were originally his own and which were merely a matter of epigenetic imprinting, genetic memory, and societal enforcement while individuating his Jungian shadow.
While self-reflecting deeply while living mostly alone in the Chinese wilderness for four years, Mike began questioning the nature of conflicting intercultural genetic memories driving his behavior and preferences (from hobbies, to music, to his sexuality and more) when exploring the controversial topic of his interracial heritage.
While suspended in an isolated environment of survival away from societal pressures as he lived in nature, he came to the conclusion that the vast majority of his thoughts and behavior patterns were European (or, at least Eurocentric) in nature, which sparked within him a drive to leave China and visit Europe while tracking down what he could of his heritage through distant family.
This led him down a rabbit hole of studying English and Norse history as he connected with various people who acknowledged the sincerity of his quest.
His journey led him into living in Ireland and Iceland, while visiting other countries like Norway and Latvia for different, personal reasons beyond mere sightseeing.
As he adventured, he was taught Forn Siðr (which is old Norse for "the old ways") in a tribe of Norse military veterans like himself from America, Canada, Scandinavia, and other European countries.
Norton is widely considered a controversial figure in the modern Norse community due to his interracial heritage. However, there are many schools of Norse thought and, those based most accurately on the actual ancient texts (as well as the historical facts about Norse behavior varying per tribe) acknowledge him as authentic.
This is because nowhere in the ancient texts indicate that any man was denied entrance into any hall of Asgard on the basis of his racial makeup as there are legends of Odin himself being mixed with the race of the Jötnar (with another legend of Odin actually being darker-skinned from Greece).
And as the Norse were seafarers that traveled far and wide to distant lands, historians know for certain with genetic proof and records of specific figures that there were indeed rare, interracial Norsemen. Thus, a man was either granted or denied entry to a hall of Asgard on the basis of his character—how he lived his life and how he’d die with strength, bravery, and honor (or the lack thereof).
Not the color of his skin.
And, while he does have indirect Norse heritage, when he actually refers to himself as “Norse”, he is not saying that he, himself, is an ancient Viking. He is referring to his religion in the same way that someone may refer to themselves as a Christian.
The groups that do not acknowledge Norton are generally, merely fringe white supremacy groups that follow other ideological values not supported by the ancient texts or the reality of Norse history.
Norton is, however, officially acknowledged as authentic by the Norwegian government via religious NGO number 922 586 918.
Norton has been relied upon as a critical expert witness in a legal dispute to verify and preserve the authenticity of Norse historical information and its sources.
Norton considers himself a modernist of the old ways—though, without changing the core, ancient principles. For instance, the modern sword is the gun, and a proper way to die on a battlefield is to actually join the military.
Besides helping to guide and instruct others in the most historically accurate Norse skills and information, Norton has also contributed one of the first forms of modern Norse literature, called Yield.
